Hackle Stacker

A very effective dry fly tying technique perfected by the late Bob Quigley. This fly takes a few tries to perfect the technique, but it is well worth the effort. The fly can be tied sparsely to most effectively imitate mayflies. Unlike traditional fully hackled dry flies, this style of tying allows the fly to more realistically lay low in the film. It is still remarkably visible to the angler. The video is a very well done demo of the technique.
