Links to suppliers of tools and materials for fly tying.

The Bay area has very few good sources these days…but the links below are some recommended online sources. I have had positive experiences with all of these vendors.

J Stockard has one of the most complete selections of tools and materials. Slightly pricey, but they have regular sales…just subscribe to their email list.

Wholesale Fly Company has a great prices on hooks and beads.  Good service.  The hooks have occasional flaws, but they are relatively inexpensive.  WFC has a good selection of thread as well.  His tools are modestly priced but of lesser quality.

Feather Emporium has a superior selection of genetic hackle and game bird feathers.  He has a great deal on a combo of saddle and capes.  He also sells 100 or 25 packs for the tier who does not tie in quantity.

Dakota Angler has a good selection of materials. Han’s videos are so excellent, I like to support them.

Ole Florida fly shop specializes in saltwater fly materials.  That said, they have great prices on many items and ALL orders ship free as well as tax free.

Fly Tiers Dungeon has a variety of  synthetic materials.  In many cases, the quantity provided is generous when compared to the over priced stingy amounts offered in many fly shops.  The owner is very responsive to pre sales questions via email.
